I heard the other day that there was a debate on the issue of the re-introduction of number plates to the front of motorcycles. The right wing cagers were complaining that we were'nt getting our fair share of fines.Motor cycle people were arguing that the plates affect the way a bike handles. Where's this going..?

“The numberplate study is acknowledged in the Victorian motorcycle Strategic Action Plan, which says: ‘Frontal identification of motorcycles using decals or front number plates has been investigated and not found to be a satisfactory solution.’

The front number plate thing has been dead in the water for a while, now with the strategy launch and a recent FOI article in the media, it's official, of course it still cost $500,000 for them to realise FNP's were never going to work...

My old dad had a bike that had the plate mounted longways around the front fender like a knife blade, S/A. rego from memory.
