No announcment I know of but sources reveal a "Pick on the poor bastard bike riders"

Speed traps and roadworthy inspections to be carried out by the Gestapo :x
Make sure you point out the discrimintaion of it all if you get stopped

If your bike is roadworthy and you ride the pace I don't see the problem.

Heading down Monday, hopefully with new Staintune pipe :D . Started talking to a SES bloke at the servo, and he said the same thing. Anglesea to Lorne, especially. The best part's later, anyway. Isn't the 80k bit just to Apollo Bay, or have they buggered that bit too? :x

It's 80 from Aireys inlet to Appollo Bay
Lots of 60 spots too, which will have to be obeyed instead of the usual ignored
Back way from Colac or Winchelsea is best option this w'end and the road has better twisties anyhoo :kuda:

the only good news on weekends like this is........if they are *concentrating* in numbers on one stretch..........then that means they will *not* be concentrating on heaps of other places !!!

I don't suppose there's any chance they'll pay any attention to tourists doing 40 in an 80 zone as they crawl past the "consider those following" and "slow vehicle turnout" signs? Silly me, they'll target those areas... to pick up the motorcycles overtaking.

I think it is a great reason to go to the GOR and do a ride. A lot of it is very fun even at the speed limit.
