Took my hands of the bars to adjust gloves and she got the wobblies up really bad, really fast
Bit of a worry going down a hill at 80.
Let go on the flat as well to test and she shakes straight away :?
Tyre pressure check revealed no probs, both front and rear at 45 lb's with warm tyres.
Any ideas?

Looked at the damper adjustment (lower fork) it has been turned around a bit from the mud.
Goose neck not real tight either...
I'll readjust tomorrow morning and test it out :kuda:
Thanks guys.....
Hadn't even thought of the damper till I read that

thats not a steering damper dude, that your Compression damping,

the mega barges dont come with a steering damper, unless you have an aftermarket one??

if the wobble isnt there with the hands on the bars i wouldnt worry, as i said, the bridges seem to do that a little when no hands on deck.

I had a very similar problem on my ZZR years ago take your hands off the bars at 80 and when it got to around 60 the bars would start to shake big time turned out to be a worn front tyre. New tyre no shakes

I had it on my old ZZR too, but only after getting a new front tyre fitted at Cosway, never went back there again, fixed it by accident, literally, smakced head on into the mud wall at St Andrews, stuffed front wheel amongst a few other thngs, new front wheel and tyre and voila no slappers :)

You may have thrown a wheel weight during your ............... ummm ............ oops  ..

Another common one is dirt/twigs/boulders/nanny goates getting stuck between the tyre bead and the rim which knocks the balance right out of wack plus throws the tyre out of round.

I'd get the front tyre pushed off the bead , cleaned , re - balanced and try again ....... ;)

it must be just a BT014 issue as I never have that problem with the BTO16's. I can ride down the whole finishing section of the Old road with no hand bends and all without a prob.
