I was wandering what the reason was that there are people out there who specifically dislike kwakkas...

They are the only bikes I have ever owned (coincidental), and I have really had nothing to complain about them. Could someone who understands this please fill me in?

Well I can't answer that question.. But it may be similar to the reason I don't like suzuki's.. A guy I don't like rides one.. So I hate them!!

Um, I think you might be asking this question in the wrong place!

I suppose it would fall into the same category as Ford V Holden... Regardless of the fact that they essentially do the same job, most people will lean more one way than the other... Then you consider those people who take that to the extreme and they'll have strong views about which brand is better.

If everyone liked Kawasakis, who would we poke fun at and feel sorry for?

I don't dislike other brands (some real weapons out there) I just really love kwikas

I have no knowledge at all about bikes before buying my Kwaka. At that time I was dreaming of having a CBR, just because it is more popular, winning races, etc. At that time a kwaka seems like a niche-market bike. Would you buy a "Jialing" or "Hyosing" bike now even if they do the same thing?

maybe ppl. don't like because they don't know, and mostly they don't know due to popularity issues, winning GP, etc.

Oh, and also the kawasaki website is really crappy. Honda has the best one.

Maybe it's a colour thing. Spew is traditionally blue & white, Honda red etc. Green is a little well, loud. I think that bright yellow cars are awefull, but enough people like 'em, so the new Monaro comes in bright yellow.

Personally, I'd go for something a little darker.

i dislike kwakas coz there always been the 2nd fastest bike plus there a pain in the a$$ to get spare parts for now and i am really having issues with finding a Kawasaki dealer to service my bike without braking the damn thing.

At this rate yeah i'm heading back to any other brand again!

I don't have any brand loyalty, I've reckon you should own/try as many bikes as possible

I was reading something by the people of the advertising giant Saatchi & Saatchi. They said the aim of marketting was to develop irrational brand loyalty. Therefore people who are irrationally loyal to one brand, will also be irrationally opposed to others.

Thats true and does seem to explain why people would chosse to ride a hooon.. a hoon.. one of those.

Where are you hearing this stuff from?? mates? other bike forums?

Alot of the time its tongue in cheek, but there are poeple who have a dislike for other things with a passion, anyone could find a fault with any bike, theres plenty of assholes around thats for sure.

As long as your happy then all is ok.

like someone here said once a few months ago, having other brands keeps the dickheads off the Kwakas, sounds good enough for me owning one of the most reliable road bikes ever made, and dont get me started about the 10 oh baby that gets my nads jumping.

Now as for this person who doesnt like kwakas I want names addresses etc etc etc and maybe we should reedumacate em.....

There was also some other quote along the lines of people who buy the fastest everyone else is buying bike is making up for lack of skill sby buying the latest craze or some shit like that, I apply that to GSXR's and R1's... although there are a few out there that can actually ride and usually blow me away on the lawnmower *sigh*
