Small world

Mum's Friday nurse started with us this morning - lovely lady who I'm confident can look after mum and allow me some time out.
Chatting to her this morning and mentioned that I intend to go riding on Friday mornings - she mentioned that her nephew was riding at EC last weekend - she thinks for Kawasaki. Turns out her nephew is Kevin Curtain. (I know very little about motorbike racing but I've heard his name before somewhere - apparently pretty good?)

Holy crap that is a very small world, that is awesome how cool is that. Hey check out the EC photos from last weekend, a few of the guys got shots of him.

Does'nt she realise here nephew is one of the best riders of the last 15 years, multiple australian titles (250 proddie, at least 2 supersport, 98 production sbk and 3 more FX titles) second in WSS (flat tyre robbed him and he crashed) and genuine laid back kin of dude.
And yep he is back riding a Kawasaki, his first two supersport titles were on the F model ZX6R

Yep...riding a Cosway built ZX6R. Same set up as mine, Muzzy titanium pipe, Cosway needles, WP front and rear! I sold what I think was one of his bikes to a guy from KSRC who then sold it to Swabio! So, it's still kicking around!!

I noticed Kevin has returned to Aussie to ride in the AUS superbikes (before that he was doing world supersports)... He kicks ass!

Well....she did say he was pretty good. She probably remembers him as a snot-nosed kid in nappies rather than a champion rider. She's not really into bikes (or camping or 4wd) but she seems like a very good nurse

This made me remember that is sure is a small world, my partner works with/used to work with/works with every second week (bloody govt dept staff always moving around) Robbie Bugden's wife. Even though he rides a suzuki, surely I could get some benefit from this
