Last friday night i bid 30 pounds on a set of Hein Gericke leather pants on ebay uk.
I won the item for 30 pounds and sent off the request total from seller.
he claims 100 pounds is the cheapest he can do on postage. He wont back down on it either.
the item is located in Wallasey, UK if that helps anymore.
anyone else have items sent from UK to east coast of Australia?
100 pounds seems farken vertical. im sure ive paid less postage before.
this seems like bullshit to me

Had a pair of shocks sent out recently and they sent them separately to reduce the cost . Under 2 kg and a certain volume its cheaper . Each shock was 23 pounds .
Had a small seat unit sent out that was light but in a box around 600 X 400 X 400 and I think it was under 25 pounds .
Seems pretty expensive .

I say Bullshit
I bought a Norbar torque wrench 2 weeks ago from a UK eBay seller
the package (inc the wrenchs protective sleeve and container) weighs about 5kg
the seller charged me £10.50... for Royal Mail Parcel Post Airmail
and the bloody thing is about 400mm long!
took 4 days to arrive

Find some other pants/jacket for sale on Ebay UK and ask/email them as to their postage costs and use as a comparison to negotiate with the seller

Kg for Kg it IS cheaper to send gear from the UK to here than here to the UK.
I call BIG BULLLLLSHIT on this one, go to the Royal Mail website and calculate yourself, if you can get it cheaper open a dispute with Ebay so you don't get bad feedback.
Pricks trying to score more for his gear by overcharging postage

I call bull shit too. We left some gear in the UK when we migrated here, got the olds to send it in a big box. Sure it took a while, but was under £50. Would hve put a few pairs of leathers in the box.
Difference may be in sea frieght or air frieght. Could cost stupid amounts for air frieght.

Sister moved from here to the UK, i sent a box of her stuff for her before she left (it would get to her a week or two after she arrived) and for a box that weighed close to 7 kilo's and was 50x40x35 cm it was just shy of $120. A bit steep i thought, but looks like a freaking bargain compared to what that guy is trying to pull on you.
