My 2002 Rex is one that has to have the header pipes removed to change the oil filter, this means taking the radiator off to get to the pipes. Alot of work for services. I've bought a Murph's spin-on oil filter adapter and have decided to fit it myself,
for me this is abit of a project.
So far the seat, the tank, and the radiator are off, tomorrow the headers come off and then into the filter housing. Any tips apprieciated.

I could get the filter out with the stock exhaust, not so with the Kerker. I take that apart at the collector and use the opportunity to clean it all up. I also use a K&P stainless oil filter.

You can possibly get K&N filters that are shorter with the same flow rate, might be the same ones as I have used for the 05 Z750 & 05 ZX6R ;)

I have done this on both my ZRX1200 and ZZR1200. I use standard Kawi spin-on filters.

Never had to remove the headers but always have to pull apart the exhaust to get at the oil filter. Are these adapters available in Aussie and if so, where can I get one. I've got a ZRX1100 with a full Akrapovic system and it just makes it a bit harder to do a service when you have to pull apart the exhaust each time.
Cheers
