A guy on another forum I'm on rode the Putty yesterday and said this when he got back
halfway house was out of fuel until next week but they had an emergency barrel

Wowsers. Would suck if you got caught out there. I guess putty runs will now have a "backup" ute with a fuel barrel in the tray. Or just top up elsewhere and nanny it or go from the northern side instead.
Hard not to suspect a thing though.

That's a bummer - was a good stopping point for a break.
It's 175km from Windsor to Singleton so petrol stops shouldn't really be a problem should it?
There's a great fish and chip shop near Coles in Singleton

(stop it! ...think "shrinking leathers")

its a problem if i twist the fun bar to far round on the R1

I just rode to colo heights and the guy at the ampol confirmed that it did indeed burn down..He was also pretty happy to know that his little shop is going to get a lot busier...
