Need some Help

Hey guys need some help im looking at buy a 1989 ninja 250 with 2007 compliance the asking price is $5300 have knocked him down too $5100 do you think this is too much?

Please let me know cheers. Its a sweet looking bike so im keen but just want to know if you think the price os right.

They are an old bike...... save up a few more bucks & get a new 250 :P
Seriously this bike is a grey import so parts are hard to come by & they may look fast but at the end of the day
not worth the big $$$ ;)

Yeah i thought it was a bit much for its age but as im on my L's still looking for a nice bike to ride i just sold my 2006 road / trail so now looking again hahahahhahaha.
Also looking a CBR250RR but once again old........

But i do like the look of them both.

Looks can be decieving, & looks are not everything, you could do much better for the bucks.

Doesnt seem to be anything around at the moment for around the $4,000 - $5,000.
Plan on going for my L's very soon but without a bike at the moment im going mad hahahahhaha.

yeh as rob said dont waste your time. highly inflated price for a 20 year old bike. for under 3k maybe but not over 5k. and reliability could be an issue with the age of it

go look at a new 2009 Ninja 250....

its new not umpteen years old
its new never been dropped or thrashed or crashed
and its not that much more....

Or take a look in the for sale section at the 2006 GPX for a spidge over 4k - looks great and being sold by a vic member of this club

Either of these suggestions are good. Also depending on where you are you may want to look at other lams bikes (if applicable)

Hiya spartan1,the bike is defintely overpriced for a very old model with old technology. take your time, do the research and you will find a younger and smarter looking ninja for those $$$

Would have to agree with the new ones looking hot! Ask Dizzi, we got so many people coming and checking our bikes out today :) With them being the most sold 250 at the moment, they are on the market a fair bit, so you can get a decent price for basically a brand spankin new bike. I got mine with only 1000km on the clock.
