OK so here it is, the release of the new ZX10R-UM (Uber motard).
Some of the guys would know for a while (since the supers trip two years ago) I've been thinking about putting an Ausfr comfort kit on the 10 to help out the old back. The only thing that stopped me was the need to do track days as well, but now that I've got the tracky, that solved that. I've thought about ZRX's, Zeddy's, putting Heli bars on etc but I really love the 10. Well I finally took the punt and went for the comfort kit from Ausfr. In the kit you get a tope yoke, handlebars, extended brake lines, longer clutch cable and all the bolts, nuts and other bits.
I spent pretty well all day Saturday off and on pulling it apart and putting it together, which in the end proved surprisingly easy. The end result.....absolutely awesome. You think a stock 10 is a hoon bike? Put a set of MX bars on it and it's wheely city. The handling and upright position take a little getting used to but talk about fun factor...woohooo. Went for an early run up the old road on Sunday and I was amazed, firstly that I didn't feel my back at all (for the first time in about 4 years),I didn't want to get off the thing, and just how ridiclously quick it flops into corners. I've never had so much fun punting up the hill from berowra ferry
So there you go the ZX10 Uber motard is born and I'm ecstatic
Sorry for the crap photo's but I only took them last night
