Young Bloke has a fall

My young bloke Joel had his first off today. I got his call at 6.00 am.. Gav, I've just come off me f#%^%*ing bike. He was into it a right hander he uses every day.But today there was sand or gravel on the entry..being dark, didn't see it,next thing he knows he's sliding on his arse with the bike on top. Lucky for him he had all his gear on. A few hours in westmead he was let go with a buggered shoulder, battered ego and scratched up ride. Needless to say, if he hadn't had all his gear on it could have been a lot worse.

Dam thank goodness he was ok, did have leathers on or textile? it just shows doesn't it you can't even trust your normal own road, you always have to be on the look out.

He had his kevlar jeans on and his dryriders over the top. And his jacket, gloves ,helmet and boots. So he was pretty covered up. He ended up with torn ligaments in his shoulder.

Ohhhhh man the poor thing that is extremely painful (I have dislocated my shoulder before and torn a ligament in the process popping it back in so know the pain well, not from riding but surfing) well on the very small upside (as really there is upside to coming of a bike) have heard some rumours that the kevlars aren't as protective and I have two pairs so good to know they do do the job, tell him hope he has a speedy recovery.

What are you gonna do after you kill the council workers who left the gravel there?
As bad as it sound's........a small off for a new rider is a good thing in the long run.
Makes you realise, your not bullet proof.
I came off a few times in the early day's and was very lucky...........I alway's landed on my head.
Which may help to explain a few of my post's
