Someone on another forum made a comment that stuck me as really strange:

Please be honest, I'm really curious - I would have thought riders would have loved a Mrs that rides?!? I promise I will not get dark at anyone's answers, if you'd like to PM me instead of posting publicly, please do.

I already know all the reasons women (people in general) -should- ride, just curious why one should not?

Maybe the bloke that posted felt threatened ...... female riders are maybe more assertive / in control ?

And that's not a bad thing.

The only negative I can highlight from my experience is that you need to budget for two of everything ... want a track bike, buy two, etc ..... but, and it's a big but, it's *much* easier to get finance department approval for bikes and associated expenditure when your partner also rides.

Only possible negative is if you want a boys ride, and little miss is wanting to tag along. Every now and again people need me time in a relationship - perhaps riding was that persons release.

Me I'd rather Lexy rode than sit on the back.

Yeah that's right oh and we look sexy in leathers so he seriously has a problem!!!!! in saying that I guess there would be some females out there that feel the need to prove a point that they are equal to males and so won't ride within their limits and will egg males on to prove a point, also due to the farqued up hormonal thing, SOME and I underline SOME females would ride with their emotions and not their heads they do the same on the road (you comment on this dearest and your dead) oops emotion coming out anyway but yeah the otherside is that maybe a chick did show him up and well it always has been and always will be a battle of the sexs, some just I guess can't handle it others need to take it to the extreme. Moi, frankly I am newbie, will stay the back of the pack and my skills are solely on me taking it to the next level against myself not anyone else.

Oh yeah and I do agree boys need their boy ride time I have always hung out with guys, my closest friends were surfies when I used to surf and even then the boys needed their male bonding time, another thing, riding is still very much male dominated, if you can't handle that as a chick then go and play barbies somewhere else ooooooo this could get me into trouble
