Shop up people need bikes or parts moved then I am looking at doing my third run up and down the Hume to collect and deliver bike stuff - Cost of fuel only divided by my share
The more there are the cheaper it gets. Currently have room for 1 complete bike or a truckload of parts. Will do a trailer if needed. Pickup or collect anywhere between Melb and southern suburbs of Shitme - not going across town again this time.

I've sent someone who wants to buy an exhaust off me a PM to get in contact with you so you could have another taker.

OK so far I have;
A roller going up - still plenty of room though.
Coming back I have 1 complete bike ( reason for this trip ) and an exhaust system. Still room on return for a roller / roughy to be stuffed in the front of the van or anything else - I have roof racks and it is quite a large van! Sorry Craig but a lounge suite may be a bit much.
Tell your mates. Departing 5am next Sat and so everything must be on board before then - I can collect items around Melb next week if required or have them dropped out here to Sunbury. Likewise Sydney I will be in the South of Sydney ( Busby ) Around 14:00 and so if things need to be collected then they need to be in this area - Be farked if I'm going to waste 4 Hrs trying to get across town and deal with the shitful traffic again!
If there is anything requires shifting anywhere within cooee of the melb syd route I can manage that too - I'm not travelling via Mildura though!
Costs? I here you ask. Sure. Based on todays fuel price here in Melb ( $1.34) and the economy of the van it works out to be 25c a Kilometre - From my door to the address I'm heading to in Busby according to the Gps is 856km's - works out to be $171 one way.........But divide that by the number of bits moved, whether it be a whole bike or just a wheel. So divide 4 people going oneway ( this includes myself ) = $42.75 not a bad deal really. Then you have to factor in the amount of my time and fucking about this takes and I might just charge $100 for a whole bike while the bloke with the wheel gets a bill for $25. Still very fair though. It's a complicated formula but it has worked well in the past.

What do you mean?
The way they charge is
Actual time spent preparing documents / using calculator = $2.36
+
Yesterdays lunch with clients and time thinking about masturbating while printing their invoice = $156.74
+
Masturbating when I got back to the office and thinking about my new clients = $42.35
+
coefficient of earths gravity vs weekly repayment on my 7 series BMW = $2237
+
Just cause I can = $60
Total invoice amount $2498 for doing fuck all

Of course they just write the invoice up a bit different to that but it still equates to the same.

So .... deducting your time spent using the calculator + printing an invoice + payments on the Beemer = $101.90

That's a lot of dough so you can have a tug, mate ! ;)

I don't know if he contacted you but he never got back to me so I am assuming he doesn't want it anymore. Someone else is waiting to buy the exhaust as well and will pick it up tomorrow so I'm going to sell it to them. Sorry for stuffing you around but I'm over it and just want the thing out of the way and this is the easiest option.

There is a guy on RATS that is asking about transporting a bike from Sydney to Melbourne at the moment too but you have to be logged in to see the thread. http://www.nswroadandtrackbikes.com/for ... hp?t=11392 I don't know if you are interested in transporting things for strangers but he could help with costs so I thought I'd at least let you know.

We could do with a few more funky cafes and cool music venues and I know you've got lots, so a few of them would be nice. ;)

How about a few trams too. You seem to have train lines and trams that actually service the areas IN NEED of public transport, not just the ones that are already heavily covered. :x
