its a thing rossi does he puts a foot outcoming into corners. He doesnt know why he does it he just does

Yep...that was just damn good to watch, again, and agin, and again......

I watched it on free-to-air so it was a touch late, around midnight.. i was getting drowsy and ALMOST considered turning it off... until those last few laps.. by the end i was sitting straight up in bed..wide awake jaw dropped thinking 'this is the best thing i have seen in a long time'!. The race ended and I couldn't sleep!!

Can we also get a for Julian Simon's hillarious premature 'IVE WON IVE WON...WAIT...NO ..CRAP! I HAVNT!' celebrations in the 125cc.

hmm never really noticed it before. Although i did watch the full thing and it was only when he was really digging in deep that he would do it. so i guess it makes sense...
Watched some other vids of Troy Bayliss and Stoner, they seem to do the same thing during moments of "holy shit im gonna bin it"
if you know the physics behind it, then pls explain!

the physics works just like in motorcross or motarding where they get the bike ready for lock up and lean by trying to spread the weight out over a wider surface.

yeah, but unlike motocross, when it comes time for the turn, he tucks it back in and sticks his knee out...

Fairly new to watching MotoGP but have to say that was the most amazing final lap I've seen in any type of racing. How does Rossi sit on his bike with balls that big??

I was wondering about the foot out as well - familier with that technique on dirt bikes but never seen it before in road racing.

Awesome stuff
