Normally I wouldn't pimp another forum here - but the latest addition to the local CanberraRIDERS forum is just too good to miss.

Its something that should be considered here for the home page as well I reckon - there are enough good photos of KSRC gigs to do this without a problem...

Any visitor to the cR home page, gets to check out a photo montage of what we have been doing for the last couple of years. The photos are from our own Gallery, and include some shots of gigs from this forum, as there are a lot of members of cR who have also joined this place in the last 2 years....

Just check out the CanberraRIDERS home page - there are a lot of familiar faces & bikes in there !

Dave, there is only one member that I know of with the skill to pull off a better intro Vid

That is awesome but if one is done for KSRC maybe don't flick the pics so fast but make them merge more, I reckon we can do a heaps better one

i'm impressed (and not taking the piss) last year when i was in canberra working i didn't notice a lot of motor cycle activity
but those pics are impressive...........also two of the nine days I was there ....two were non compass....they're big party people as well

yes there were a heap of KSRC photos in the cR gallery - they *had* to be included ..... - Glad that everyone else likes the idea

This job doesn't really need a 'video' expert, just someone who can pick a good selection of photos from within the KSRC gallery, or go through the threads, especially the track-day threads and WSB / GP threads, and put together a good photo montage......with an appropriate backing track !! I guess putting the photos together into a movie-style presentation will need to be done by someone familiar with MovieMaker, or some other software like that.....

Its quite a bit of work - Lurch did a 'draft' version which was pretty good, but this version is much better.

I also thought, initially, that the speed of the photos was a bit too quick - but the reality is that its possible to squeeze a heap more photos in a given timeframe if you run through them quickly. Having the photos 'merge' would look cool - but may cut down on how many you can squeeze in.

I think for the homepage, it will give any prospective new KSRC member a great idea of the community here, the types of events we do, a bit of a sneak preview of some of the characters who inhabit this place (maybe not such a good idea ) - and overall I reckon its the sort of advertising that will encourage new members.

Its also something that can be updated regularly with new photos being added to the gallery with each event, so the 'video' doesn't have to get stale from being the same for more than 12 months or so. This will also mean that new members will also get a chance to get their heads on the intro page.....
