Ok so me n the ol man just aquired a project which a good Mate o mine was doin up.
1980 Z500 , A shit load of bucks spent.
Engine completeley o'hauled right down to slipper bearings , rebored , new valves etc etc .
New Hagons
powder coated rims with new Bridgestones.
seat re apolstered
Resprayed
And other things ( lots to list really )
Does any one have any bits for these
Cosmetic stuff really instruments , head light etc etc
Maybe a frame as even though it is powder coated and looks great the passenger peg brackets have been removed.
We may even consider selling it as is to anyone who is serious about it.
Does need a little bit to finish but all easy stuff.
As the hard stuff is already done.
Either way we finish it or sell it

Geez they have put some effort into that . Would be a shame not to finish it .

I know Kid but just been given word from the ol man...... if anyone wants it he will take 3000.00 bucks for it ,
Bear in mind there is that just in the engine .

they go pretty well these little 500's, if you ring their necks.

That thing is screaming to become a Period 5 race bike.

not really - there is no class for it. Maybe only 2 or 3 bikes in the 500 class at best, and out on the track at the same time as the big-bangers....well it would get blown away.

A few years ago when there were actually a reasonable amount of 500-class bikes racing with PCRA, it would be a great bike - there was a 500 racing a couple of years ago.....but these days, everything bigger than 350cc is lumped together ....

By the way I am still after bits so I can finish it off.
