Now its registered-Next issue

Hey Guys
Well, I got the ZXR750 Blue Slipped and regoed on Saturday-the blue slip and rego was the easy bit. I broke down 3 times on the way there/back!
Grrrr....
So I jump on the M7 and start on my merry way to bossley park to get a blue slip, get to the horsely road off ramp the she spluttered and died. Pulled over on the shoulder (about 300 metres from the 'Jokers' biker gang clubhouse)..I thought they were gonna kill me thr way they were looking at me...
Anyways, I get my brother to come and jump start me and she fires up fine, get to the rta and its all good, THEN riding home the same thing happened again.. cruising at about 100kph and she splutters and dies out, a jump start and shes ok.
Anyone had a similar issue? I think its a simple kink in the fuel tap line, which I have replace but am still a little dubious to take it out without a pit crew in case it dies out again...
Any thoughts???

Hopefully its as easy as a blocked fuel tank breather.... I would check there first

Yeah mate, dont wear that Harley Davo' suks shirt again until yor bike is reliable
Ah anyway, maybe pull the fuel filter and tap off, clean and inspect everything.

oi, that just that little hose tthat comes out of the back of the tank near you nuts isnt it?

I reaLLY need some help with this guys...
I have changed the fuel lines, blown through the tank vent thing and she is still dying out?
I put new battery in, drained the petrol tank.. I am fresh out of idea, lastnight I got about 10kms down the road and she started running on less than the 4 cyclanders and then she died out and I couldnt get her started again for about 20 minutes. I got her started by pulling on the choke and managed to limp it around the corner to a mates place.
A. Any ideas
B. Anyone wanna fix it for me (name a price)
C. Anyone wanna buy this thing?

I'll probably be working on bikes in the garage most of next weekend - you're welcome to bring it over and have a look at it here if you like. The price is right ....... you have to do it yourself

Possibly a Lazy fuel pump, but most likely a kinked line. Sounds like it only starves for fuel when it's running at highway speeds, which suggests fuel starvation. Re check all the fuel lines are not kinked, then check out the fuel pump!

Could it be heat related? Seems funny that you were able to get it started after 20 minutes of cooling down in a couple of instances.
No expert on bikes but if the fuel lines are clean and you have been able to ride along at normal speeds for more than a kilometre then doubt it is a kinked fuel line. Fuel starvation by way of a faulty fuel pump would be the target. If you were able to get going with a choke then the fuel pump is definitely the most likely problem.
Suggest look for an electrical problem associated with the fuel pump.

I guess it could be heat related... I had it running in the garage yesterday for 15 minutes before it died.... I have just asked on 'findapart' for a fuel pump-see how much they are if I can get a cheapy it may be worth it.
