AWESOME DISCO and Hoffy!
I'll be making a trip to Penriffff or homebush depending on easter show and when I make it, how about a KSRC NEWBIES MOST practice/training day?!!??!?!
Brave peak-hour M4 together Kevin after work one arvo? Booked your test?
The inside tips via Glen is that the 6m u-turn and slow cone weave are the trickiest parts, and to practice circles and slow riding.

cool I'll pm you my number and see what we can organise. If it's closed at night or not lit we'd be better off staying local in a carpark WITHOUT nasty killjoy women and spending our time practicing not commuting..... Actually that's probably the case anyway!

Not sure how often any of you make it south - but Loftus Tafe carpark has the course marked out too. Sometimes you can get there on the weekends when they've gone off for their road ride section of the course, and the witches caps are all out. You just move them around a bit to suit yourself, have a practice, then off you go.

Maybe

It's very handy though and makes the actual test so much easier

We used to let people come in and practise while we were out or having lunch, so long as they didn't interfere with the course when students were on it.
By and large so long as you can do a U turn in 6.0 metres and you can stop pretty well you're 90% of the way there

The barge wouldn't fit in the U turn box let alone turn around in it

we are on for this arvo/tonight somewhere in the hills district. We'll muddle through it as best we can with a tape measure, masking tape, and whatever we can find about the test on the net.

If you want a mini programme I would
1. Practise slow riding as shown in the L's course.
2. Practise tight circles, both left and right
3. Have some cracks at the U turn
4. Try the cone weave. I can't exactly remember the new dimensions but I think it's 3.6m apart with the cones offset 0.5 m total. If you can get 1/2 tennis balls they are the go
5. Practise some emergency stops. Start slow and build up
6. Practise some fast swerves using countersteering ie push the left bar forward to swerve left etc
7. Get used to what 25km/h in second gear feels like. That's all you need to do
If you can drag the test info off the net then that's good. The old test was harder then the new one the diff being 5.5m in the U turn v 6.0m and the cones are further apart. If you can find the old one use that and you'll be fine.
