I read in another forum last night that Judd Greedy died after an accident at the Tasmanian round of the ASBK. I wanted to confirm the details before I posted anything.

From the channel 9 website
"The ABC named the rider as 28-year-old Judd Greedy of Maitland in the Hunter region of NSW.
The fatal accident led to the abandonment of all racing at the second round of the Australian Superbike Championship.
Tasmania Police confirmed only that a 28-year-old rider had died in the incident, which took place on the third lap of the race.
As the packed field exited the tight bus-stop section that leads on to the main straight of the 2.4km Symmons Plains circuit, the leading rider lost control of his motorcycle.
Two riders in the middle of the pack were unable to avoid the fallen bike and rider, one of the bikes exploding in a fireball as its fuel tank ignited on impact.
Greedy was treated by medical personnel but died at the scene, with a second rider transported to Launceston Hospital. The third rider escaped serious injury.
A meeting of riders contesting all five national championship classes at the Symmons Plains round was called by senior race officials and Motorcycling Australia, with clerk of the course Tom Williams agreeing to abandon the meeting following a rider vote. Race officials had earlier made the decision that the event would proceed with a modified schedule, but the majority of riders present at the meeting decided they would take no further part if the race program continued"

Such a tragic loss of an extraordinary young talent. I'm sure everyone's thoughts are with his friends and family.

Edit
Didn't see that the news had already been posted http://www.ksrc-au.com/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 15&t=24027
