P's

So i just passed my P's test today. Was a good day except for the 7am start and the 8 hour day. Bit sore in the wrists from all the clutching. Thought i was going to fail the quick stop for sure as a few weeks ago i went over the handle bars from a TOO-quick stop and am still a little nervous, stuffed up all the practice but managed to pass the actual MOST test 100%, which is always exciting.

Sad to see a very good rider fail the MOST from forgetting 3 head checks, such a bummer to see happen too.

Apart from that, still waiting on the bike to be fixed

To make the day easier on yourself why not book and hire one of their bikes? Your probs more comfortable on your own bike but seriously the u turn and other drills would be heaps easier to get you through! Just a thought ;) I managed on the Ninja 250 but then again it was designed for learners as opposed to the zx2 and cbr250's imported for boy racers!

if u get em to give u the SL250 trailie then u can do those uturns standing on your ear!!!

they went through the u turns heaps before the actual test. And just remember to look where you wanna go rather then at the ground which is what helped me heaps. at the beginning of my p's test day the guys in my group were discussing that it will be hard on my ninja, but i managed fine, and also the space that you practice in is smaller then that in the test.

The seat positioning on the Ninja 250 is upright and neutral as its design intention whereas the zx2 is more sports oriented / aggressive. Its still possible to pass the day and test on the zx2 but you'll find the day far easier on the rental bikes or to borrow a more appropriate bike.

I passed the P's test easily on the Ninja 250 but 2 bikes just in my group were dropped during the day. Both were cbr250r's!

your right rob, i should def rent a bike.... i didn't even consider doing it in my ZXR, the ride is very uncomfortable after a few hours and the turning circle on the thing is ridiculous!! Thanks for the heads up mate. I wonder how much it costs to hire one of those CB250s.

when i did my P's i forgot a few head checks (still passed) i guess they have to teach it to you, except when your on a small enclosed area it just isnt necessary, although on the road it is just instict to when you do it (i cringe when i am a pasanger of a car and they chnage lanes without looking over thier shoulder).

Found myself head checking just moving from one side of the footpath to the other  too much riding ?
