Yeah I guessed that...pity really .

...that's what it'd take for me to ride down to Mornington though. If you rang them though I am betting you'd get the line "come down and we'll give you a really good deal!" and when you ride down there you'd get $50 off full RRP and a crappy trade-in deal. Screw that.

Fark I'm cranky today .

I bought my bike and gear there and was pretty happy with the pricing, but very happy with their help and after sales service.

Hi Wattie. I wasn't specifically denigrating Mornington Kawasaki, they were too far away for me when I was looking pre-Hornet. In fact I would have to give them the benefit of the doubt and hence a full kuda until I have dealt with them :kuda:.

I was actually denigrating motorcycle dealers in general, but if you'd like me to name names, 1300 Kawasaki in Ferntree Gully, Cosways (now gone, thank fark) in the City and Race Replica in Brooklyn (alas a sponsor I think) will never get my business unless they kiss my arse and THEN give me a really good price. I never actually had that much luck with Kwakka dealers in Victoria, they all seem tarred with the same brush. Race Replica's service guys seem ok (except for an incident years ago where a member's front caliper dropped off while he was riding home), but their sales guys sucked big-time (well they did in 2006). I never forgave Brighton Kawasaki for letting me ride home with the front forks on my ZZR so loose the wheel clunked from side-to-side, although they have changed hands since.

There are also a few second-hand dealers I wouldn't touch with a bargepole, one down in Frankston (who's name I seem to have purged successfully from my mind) and another in the City (ditto) who are both packs of two-faced backsliding arseholes. The dealer in Frankston was the same dealer that tipped over one of the members' bikes from here and gave him the runaround when he complained the paintjob wasn't up to scratch.

Mate that blows, -1 kuda for them.

I've only dealt with them only once, they did a 1500km service on my GPX250R. They're too far away and stuck in the middle of an industrial area way too far from public transport and too...umm..too uninterested in getting my business. If I dropped my bike in for a service there it would mean someone picking me up and taking me where I wanted to go, and then back again. Screw that and them (especially the 2006 sales guys, who also blow).

Mick
