front stand help???

Been struggling to get the front wheel in for about 45mins and the bloody Bike feel of the front stand and has wedged it in the gaurd and is balancing there :oops:

Dosn't happen to be anybody near padtow wanting to help me with this mess!!!!!! :cry:

Nah cant hang it from the roof...

Fell of one of those ones that go under the forks...Cant just lift it up cause the speedo cable is wrapped around the farker..

Ok a mate helped me right it :D ....Now is it always hard to line up the axle bolt with these stands....Cant get it for the life of me :x

shouldnt be that hard at all. once you get the axle though manage to get the threaded nut on the other side, by thightening it should pull it through the rest of the way.

give me a yell if you need a hand and i will come around

Cheers Russel I'v given up for the day......Only thing I can think of is there is a plate which hold's the front guard and I undone it to get the guard off for easy access to paint.Maybe one of the fork legs is twisted a little when I'v done it back up before putting in the wheel.....Will have a look after work tomorrow and loosen this bracket of first...


I knew this would happen.....It came apart so easy!!!!! :oops:

Dave there could be a sleeve between the 2 wheel bearings, if there is it has to line up before the axil will pass through.... just a thought :?

Its thru everything including the bastard of a speedo cable on the other side.....I can turn the axle but I just can't get it to take(thread into the fork leg).....

Take the wheel out & try just the axil with nothing else so you can see what is going on...... hopefully the thread isnt farked

That's not a bad idea.....Will try that first....Can't see it being the thread as it hasn't taken yet so I couldnt have cross threaded it.
