Hi All

Post by moguai »

Hi,

Newer rider here (been riding for about 9 months now) from Sydney. Although i did originally get my L's in 2002 but let them lapse.

The first bike i had access to was a 88 gpx250, but I'm currently riding a cbr125r and am enjoying it as a great city bike. In saying that i have taken it on a couple of semi "day rides" (well ok, maybe it doesn't take most people a day to do Kangaroo Valley, but the 125 takes some work up hills). In the future i am looking forward to doing some longer rides.

With the idea of doing this, we bought a 2001 ZX6R for me late last year. As i have another 4.5 months before i get my full license i'm going to use this time to make a little project (new paint, and a couple extra's) of it which will hopefully be completed by the time i get my unrestricted license. I will keep you all up to date on how it progresses :). I was originally keen on the Honda cbr600rr, but as my husband has some kind of obsession with Kawasaki's in the end it was just easier to go down that path.

G'day and welcome!
The '01 ZX6 is a great bike. It's pretty comfy for long rides, and can teach you heaps about corner speeds without biting you too harshly if you screw up a little  (the screwing up part I know from experience!)

Make sure you post up some pics of the 6!

Welcome. As a fellow "first bike traitor" It's nice you're setting a good example for me and others like me, and going kawasaki as your 2nd bike
