My new old Gixer

Well as a few of you might know I departed with my 05 ZX10 about 20 months ago inline with starting a mature age apprenticeship. 20 months is along time to be without a bike. I decided I could spend $5000 without my 3 kids starving so I went on the lookout. I gotta tell you I never thought $5000 would buy me an original stock standard 1993 1100 with 26000 klms in this condition. She is so sweet.

note, picture is a direct representation of condition.

Brilliant road bike! A genuine 120hp, with reasonable steering geometry and almost endless ground clearance and 17" wheels! The only downside is the top heavyness ofthe old cradle loop framed Gixxers. But, you do get used to it and once mastered they are a hoot on a twisty road. Loads of grunt means an easy ride!!! That looks fecking immaculate too!!!! :kuda:

To all, Thanks

Strika, I believe 155 horses is more on the money?

Also I think the only thing that has been done away from stock is that the fork tubes have been dropped through the clamps about 10 mm, feels good so far, I guess he's done that to sharpen the steering ?

I know what you mean about the top heavy feeling, I felt that on the first ride but I can work around that.

cheers

p.s. still looking for an Australian based Suzuki forum that has half the common dog that KSRC has.
