Hello forumites. I am in need of a new back tyre for my 2006 GPX250. Someone told me today to get a michelin pilot 2. I need something "grippy". Do any of you experts have any helping ideas for me? Prices etc. Thanks in advance from a newbie rider

Cheers

Lisa

easiest thing is to go to a kawaka dealer and ask them for the best one they sell for the GPX, i got a Dunlop GT301 which is very grippy, price was $130 fitted.

Cheers

I got the new tyre, a dunlop GT301 too gpxpunk. was $145

Mind you, I don't know why, but was expecting it to cost a lot more than that. Got it home safely too, which is a bonus. I took the bike up last night and left it there. I wanted to ride it last night as it was 12 months to the day I had my accident, so now have that superstitious hurdle out of the way...

ah congrats on the ride, just take it easy for the first 50ks or so to let it get all the crap off it, then have some fun, as i said i havent lost traction from it and i do push the old girl, it is a good all rounder since i do alot of ks i wanted something that was grippy but hard enough not to wear out too fast. 8)
