It was just another monday .....
weather was ok for a scoot to work .....
i only travel a measly 4 ks in either direction .........
anyhow of i go ........
as i head down the dual carriageway which meets a major intersection
the trafic is at stand still.........i begin to filter between stationary cars .....
at this stage approx 20- 25 cars (dual lanes) at this stage im doing about 25 ks maybe 30 but slowing almost mid way thru the que

out of f#*^9ing no where a pedestrian decides to test the capabilites of the 9
this woman from nowhere steps into my pathyway i cannor react except brake as best i can
i have i metre of room betwwen the cars --she miracously slides of the fairing
and get this ..........runs away... i try and make eye contact with her but shes twenty metres
away and bolting from the scene ...
i manage to stay upright
slight amazed i dint cause more damage to the pedestrian and or bike or cars for that matter
slight bewildered i continue on to work
and decide to inform the cops to cover myself from any issues that may arise
they assure me she was not crossing legally as there were lights only metres from the incident
ive heard of hit and run but this adds an interesting twist

Did the coppers give you any grief about filtering ??

this was my fear gos

but the young constable said due to the intersection being so close
the ped should have been using the appropiate crossing

however i didnt offer up any other info just in case ...
although i reckon if push come to shove i could be wearing some percentage of at fault
even though she wasnt looking were she was going

i still cannot believe i didnt see her
i wasnt going that quick
but she was right there on the fairing in nano time

You should send a message to Harold 'Cocksmoker' Scruby, and tell him that a pedestrian almost killed themselves today by walking into your bike, nowhere near a crossing, and that he should douse himself in petrol and have a smoke !!!

Pedestrians charge across the road in between cars without looking all the time when the traffic is stopped. Especially in Melbourne CBD. Figured it was a matter of time really, given a few frights but never actually gotten one. Crazy fuckers, temporary Australians the lot of them. Should be banned.

I'm glad I don't do my party trick on your road!
