Moto-coaster

As th marshals walked down the grid, I couldnt help but notice there was a lack of umbrella girls. Seriously. I'd made it to the big time, and I didnt have an umbrella girl. No matter, I changed posture and made ready for the start of the race. My hands were sweaty, greasy even. Looking down at my hands I realised I wasnt wearing gloves! How could I have missed something as simple as that. No time to fix that problem now, the lights just lit up. As engines began screaming I steadied my posture and gritted my teeth. The lights changed, The grid stormed forward. I had a problem, I couldnt move, my steering was jammed, I was locked behind the rider in front and he was making no attempt to move up the grid. I had my throttle pegged and I seemed to be getting no reponse what so ever from the engine. The whole bike was rattling down the track like an old horse and cart. The first corner was coming up ahead, I was trapped between 3 other riders. Boxed in. My steering was locked somehow and my throttle must have been on the fritz. My pit crew were gonna cop it when see them next. I was coming into the bend way to hot behind the bike infront. I touched my break...Nothing. I looked to my left and noticed I was racing against my girlfirend. WTF! When did she start racing? No matter. No time to think about that when I have no throttle, no steering, i'm boxed in, and I seem to have no breaks. It might have something to do with the fact my tyres are painted on.
Never mind. At least I'm not coming last.
Anyone else had a ride on the moto-coaster at dream world. Went up a few weeks ago. Rather tame I thought, but the novelty was fun.
20 bucks to have you picture taken on the store gp-replica didnt seem quite right though.

Whilst reading thru your post think'n wtf! Too funny.
And No, I haven't ridden the moto-coaster, it must be new as I don't recall it being there when I was in Qld earlier this year.
I am however, an amusement park junkie (big time) and loved the Superman, Lethal Weapon, Giant drop and the Tower of Terror rides - loved em all !! Actually the Scooby Doo indoor coaster was pretty cool too.
Always waiting to get the front seat in the roller coasters, of course always with hands in the air and going back time and time again to have yet another ride. Luv em !
Hey... what.... who's that chick in the green singlet? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Noooooooooooo .........i's Bourbon Womaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!!

I went on it a couple of weeks ago when I was up there. I was moderately dissapointed. To be honest, I'm not a big roller coaster/show ride fan, I just find them to be a bit of a yawn-fest. Been on one, you've been on them all. The exciting ones are the ones that look/feel as tho they are about to break...
Roller coasters - done
Bungy jumping - done
Sling shot - done
Just need to add parachuting to my list when I can afford it.
As for rides that really scare me... It's the haunted houses I hate!!

Yes I went on it about a month ago. The best part of Dreamworld though was the tigers!

Oh man . . . . did you have tell me that Phil ? After just reading this thread, posting pics not to mention reminiscing, I sooooooo want to go again ! !

Hence why I reckon I'm a junkie lol.
Make sure you do the Giant Drop - you can see Brisbane whilst waiting at the top for it to drop, which I might add seems like an eternity!

I did the moto coaster last trip in QLD. It was pritty cool for the following reasons:
1) First time on a ride i've been up the front
2)First time in a while a green bike is on Pole Position
3) Last time i cornered like that, my knee was followed by Hip,Elbow then belly

This time it didn't hurt

its a good rise, but my favourite up there was the superman, must dig up my picture and scan it...
i hated the lethal weapon, it was so rough, came off it feeling like i'd been in a boxing match, my head was banging on the sides of the restraint thing the whole way.
i think it needs av overhaul, its a bit loose...

Mrs Tree rides a 250, has 10"-wide chicken strips and even she thought it was lame.
