Re: another work rant
If you don't like your job, this questions might seem abit stupid but why don't you find another one?
Find a job you will like so that you might not find so much time to look at ebay and this site ( not that im saying its a bad site, its a awesome site!
)
So yeah, out with the old and new with the job.
sounds only right?

Re: another work rant
What is your current job and what is it that you want to get yourself into,
show your resume to a few people, get them to tell you where you should improve and go from there
i know how it feels to do nothing at work but not to the same extent as what your going through hehehe..

Re: another work rant
It's really hard to find good staff at the moment, so I can't imagine you'd have too many problems finding a job. Have you considered a professional resume? They're about $200 and worth every cent IMO. You spend far too much time at work to do a job that sux.

Re: another work rant
I think its about time to tell your boss to jam it up his behind.
you should never work in a place where they treat you like that or a place where you dread going to work.
Are you with the union, they might be able to help out abit.

Re: another work rant
well i'm an apprentice for a building company, i've talked to a few labourers.
apply at such company's as, "tell em", "christie's people", "robsons", "skilled"
all you need is a green card and transportation.

Re: another work rant
What do you do for a crust?
For the most part, if you're truly stressed at work then yes, you can go off on workers compensation and your employers workers comp insurance will pay the bill (many will only pay you 75% of your ordinary salary, and no overtime, regardless of how regularly you do it). If you're truly stressed at work then go and see a doctor, get a referral to a shrink of some kind and explain what's going on (focusing more on the impact it's having on you and your health than the actions of your shitty boss). If you're just sick of your job go looking for a new one, there's a skills shortage and you shouldn't have too many problems finding a job if you want one.
Good luck!
