ACA QLD police vs motorcyclists??

Anyone else see the article on ACA regarding the video footage of a young traffic cop chasing a motorcylist who he ALLEGED was speeding (footage tends to indicate differently)..

I mean bloody hell - If this ain't a case of a QLD police officer being subject to HOON laws / wreckless driving / negligent driving and endangering other motorists then bugger me it really is just us and them isn't it!!!

When you see the entire footage it appears he is deliberately focusing on motorcycles to the point "A motorcycle doing 83(km/hr) ... .thats unusual"was a comment he made!! Bearing in mind the clown was parked in the emergency lane of a busy freeway ---just begging to be side swiped!!!

Complete dick head / anti motorcyclist F/Wit IMO :x

Glad some are human ---right "Ardy"??? 8)

Mate I wouldn't rely on ACA for unbiased unsensationalist chequebook-free 'journalism'.

There are nutters in every walk of life, it only goes to reason one or two will be in uniform and in positions of 'power'.

If it wasn't for the nutcase population of this wide brown land crap programs like ACA would have folded under their own weight years ago :?.

Years ago when I was married and living in Werribee my ex and I were friends with a married couple, both of them coppers, who had kids at the same kinder as ours. The guy was pretty senior in the Victorian police force and he said (and I hope I'm quoting him properly):
Not all the cops in traffic are arseholes, but all the arseholes in the police force are in traffic.
...not bad coming from one of their own

That's not entirely accurate. I've met a lot of fuckwits in the job in a lot of different areas.

For people to sit back and think that all coppers are going to be fantastic people who never do anything wrong is just plain naive. There are plenty of coppers who I think should have probably been given the arse a long time ago. But when they are having trouble attracting people to the job to start with, how can they really afford to get rid of the ones they already have?

Let me put it to you this way...

On any given night, there might be 6 coppers to cover an area spanning 1700 odd square kilometres and a population of over 200,000 people! On a good night when people aren't sick, or on child care leave, or holidays etc there could be as many 15 to cover that same area.

Anyway, I've gotten away from my original point.

There are plenty of knobs in every job. I've met some plumbers who are total arse clowns. Actually, now that I think about it, nearly every plumber I've ever met has been an absolute c%nt!! Most roofers and gutter installers I know are cockheads. Should I get around and assume that all plumbers and roofers are the same?

As a side note (yes, another one), most electricians I've met are quite reasonable people.

It's unfair and wrong to generalise people in specific industries/job roles!

Unless of course you're a travel agent and i hope you die a slow and painful death!

Well he said it, not me . I'm not having a go at you Jase, I've met you and your lovely wife and I know you're not an arsehole ;).

In fact I don't know any traffic cops at all, I'm just repeating what the (now-ex - they shifted to Queensland) copper friend told me, he was an Inspector and a shitload bigger than me . In fact I seem to recall a telephone box with legs...

...and if you want arseholes try working in the Army or in a Bank.

That's no problems Mick. I was aware that you didn't say it. Actually, I've heard that saying before, and it normally comes from the pricks in CIB. They're the ones who get all upset when we write tickets out for them when they get caught doing something wrong.

The way I look at it is this... if I murdered someone and they found out I did it, would they let me off because I'm a copper? Nope... works both ways. :)

My work is a lifestyle choice, not a work choice. To be honest I find it extremely boring, tedious and lacking in the mental stimulation department a lot of the time. However, it's semi-stress free, pays well, I work with a lot of great blokes, I get time to do the things I need to do without having some halfwit boss barking down my neck, has some great moments and, most importantly, I get to ride a bike around!! I have not spent a single minute choosing the career path I have.

Having said that, I honestly believe the work I do is important and I have NO PROBLEM writing tickets out. When I came off last week, one bloke stopped and asked me if I was alright. Another stopped, took photos and didn't say a word to me (He got a polite "Hello, how are you?" from me.... sort of  ). Everyone else drove past with their camera phones out the window trying to cause more accidents. That's about what I've come to expect from the general public these days and I treat them with the same level of disdain when I'm at work. Hell, after that little incident, I'm tempted to roll up to accidents, take photos and keep riding. Wonder how that would go down?

You're only saying I'm not an arsehole because you haven't been on the wrong end of a ticket.

As I've said prev' I have no problems with the guys n gals in blue round here or any where else to be honest so certainly not 'pidgeon holing' anyone so u know Dave.

This c@#sucker just pissed me off...:x (sorta loved his job a little TOO much IMO)

Jase' where do I sign???? I liked the "semi-stress free....time to do things I need to do....I get to ride a bike around" fark the rest I'm sold!!

As a Qlder i can HONESTLY say that MOST of the coppers that pull me up (and I cop it a lot) are bloody decent blokes. SERIOUSLY.
One in particular was WAY more that decent, he was downright bloody excellent but I promised not to tell the story.
Also the one at Bathurst recently was a damn good bloke too.
HOWEVER there was one Qld motorbike cop in Rton for a time who thought he was Superman when he put his badge on, what a fucken tool. Yes he did book me (but so did the rest) but NOT for what I had done and then told me to "take it to court" whilst I may have gotten personal satisfaction out of what ensued it cost me money I didnt have for the fine and a new back tyre. A pm to Aardy seen me pay the fine and keep my mouth shut (and I still owe you a beer).
Police are people too, with ALL that entails, including a few being arseholes with little dicks and angry wives (assuming they can even pull a chick  ) out to make the rest of the world feel as sad and lonely as them.

I've only had one time where I felt I was being harrassed by a cop.

I was riding home and came up behind a cop van. Yes, I was speeding. So was he. We both slowed to the speed limit. After about 2km, he indicated and then pulled off the road. We'd just passed a broken-down car, so I though he was going back to help out. Nope.

As soon as I went past him, he floored it and pulled back out. I know he floored it, because there was traffic coming up behind us and he managed to make it between them and me. He then proceeded to tail-gate me for the next 5km. I sat on or just under the limit the whole time he was there. Eventually, he turned off.

I spent so much time focusing on my speedo, I'm surprised I didn't run off the road. How the fark he thought his tail-gating me was his way of making me ride safe is beyond me! :x

I'm always, "Yes sir, no sir" when I get pinged for doing the wrong thing and I usually get treated like a human being in return, but this guy was just a carnt. I'm actually astounded that he didn't pull me over for the sake of it.

When we were kids, just around car driving age, my old man had a saying:
"If you get pulled over by the Police, you're already guilty. It's just a question of by how much."

Only the orginal dark (and I do mean DARK) knight stuff eh? Hopefully not the overtly gay Robin stuff.
