the gixxer

as all those on the nabiac run know, the gixxer decided it didn't wanna play with the green brigade anymore, and lost all electrics near long flat on the oxley, so so decided that i would head up last thursday night in the 4x4 with a trailer, and bring her back back, seemed like a simple plan, until just before i hit the F3 and realised i forgot the key.
no worries i thought, i'll give a mate a call thats a locksmith in port give him the code for the key, he'll punch it into instacode and presto theres the key blank the cuts, and a new key for the gixxer, after ringing the company i thought he worked for i'm told he is no longer there, so arrange to go around to them and get a key cut, but flick through the yellow pages quickly, and there is an advert with his name on it, give him a call, give him the code, says he will ring back in 10 after he checks to see if he has the blank.
get the call back keys cut ready to go, tell him where i am and he brings it around no charge, after a brief chat and catch up, back up to the room and grab the others and off we go to long flat, pull up judy from the backs says its fine to go out the back and grab the bike out of the shed, but when i go to put the key in it doesn't fit bugger, so we back the gixxer out with the steering still locked, and just miss the middle support post, back the trailer up, and procced to drag the gixxer over to the trailer, karl and myself lifgting the bars and dragging whilst mel uses all her strength to make sure the rear is stable
front gets lifted in then we get mel to jump up in the trailer and support the front, as we had to steer it in from the rear, get it tied down and its not going anywhere i have now charged the battery back up no problem, put a multimeter across the terminals with the bike running, getting no charge so now it's off to the shop and they will check the reg/rec and the stator for me
so for now it sits in the shed and the VTR cops a flogging
