Hi everyone,
i currently own a 2001 ZX6R and love it and have done a few track days on it. But now i also want to get a track/race bike.
And dont want to keep using my current road bike on the track incase it goes down.
My husband races a ZXR400 and i would love to get one but like most people it comes down to $$$.
So i was thinking would a zx2r or cbr250 be quite fun on the track?

At the moment im looking around for a cheap 250's, 400's. But seeing ive been riding for years and had various different bikes im not sure a 250 would be that exciting on the track. Id like some ideas from people and there feedback.

Also i was thinking of a wrecked zx6r that is straight etc etc that i could make a track bike...

All ideas and thought are welcome : ) 8)

Have fun

I would be inclined to go to the auctions and try and find a 600 with smashed up fairings and a good frame/front end, put a set of race glass on and away you go.

Get hold of your local/state race clubs news letter or magazine. They are often a great source of already sorted race bikes.

i have a zxr250 track/race bike
its fun although needs a little bit more go on the straights, although the corner speeds are great and the light and nimble and you can hold it full throttle and not have to worry :) inbuilt traction control i call it  hehe
