Could be an expensive fix especiaslly with the tank & radiator missing

agreed another tank could be at least a grand.
Sounds like a repairable write of job as he says it cannot be registered

There's a good $5k+ in fixing it up to trackbike condition... glass, paint, tank, radiator is easily $4k

A repairable write off
can be reregistered..... thats why they call it reparable... & most would not spend the dough for a total fix, thats why street fightered is a popular alternative.
He could mean a statutory write off, where the engine & frame numbers can never be used again.
Either way his description is a bit vague

dont need the whole bike but i sure could pinch one of his forks and the front air duct
