been quoted $20500 for the new 10 ride away. is that the best around ? i only looked in one dealer, waiting for something to sell before i do the ring around and get the best price.

Shop around or wait a bit I reckon. They'll come down once the initial lot sell off probably

I saw an ad on the weekend in Cycle Torque advertsing Demos' at $1500 off.

I'll probably wash my mouth out with soap but in the same mag there was an ad for 08 R1's at 14,990 plus delivery etc which seems pretty good. Maybe try the "I'm deciding between the R1 and the ZX10" ploy or wait until Kwaka do something more competitive in resonse

just spoke to BikeBIz about the new 10r and they are expecting Kawa to start price competing very soon. Thye to have drop the demo's by $1500 but said it wouldnt be long before the price drops as they havent taken off as well as they projected. Could only mean good things for us.

There is no way in hell I would pay $20k+ for one, they will drop quite soon. Mind you if you are serious about getting one I would expect to lose a couple of grand when you sit down with a pen in your hand if you haggle well.

Sounds way too rich! I reckon you could at least haggle the demo price without much effort... But then again if you waited 2-3 months you may save a heap more!
