Hey All.. Took the Z back to the shop tonight.. the clutch has shit it's self and theres a bad knocking noise in the engine.. was half thinking they would give me a replacement bike (like my old ER6) but they think they'll have it sorted by sat ... so theres hope.. i hope

So 45 min from home and waiting for my ride half expecting the ute, but what turns up ? a honda deville! Shit..Shit ..Shit.. not just the fact its a honda.. after all it is a bike - but the thought of going pillion after....ummm ...well... 8 years!!!! scared the shit out of me... i was so wired by the time i got home...never - never - never again!!!

So im home... in one bit.. freezing cold and sulking ...

I'll probably get bagged out in the near distant future i have my eye on a 08 honda cb400 super four in blue , it was luv at first sight, it look's like a baby cb1300. or i'll still around for a cheap 600 or 750 kwaka. naked of course.

Mick ... i did appreciate the ride and to be honest i have a history with honda's as i do waith kwaka's...and the deville wasnt bad for comfort, but i just cant come at being a pillion.

She sure was !!! no she's getting her first service while shes in there - i tried to book her in last week but they couldnt fit me in.. trying to find out more about production faults..

Dunno m uch about the deville but the Er-5 is about as placid a 500 as you're ever likely to see so no surpise it's on the lams list. It'll be by and large the same list NSw uses incidentally.

Just an update - The clutch does need to be replaced - the knocking noise was the small chain sprocket come loose which was causing the chain to belt up underneith the bike when you kicked it in the guts - they are going to run synthetic oil in it now as well - im still sure there was a thumping in the engine in addition to the rest, but they are going to look at that when all the rest has been done - i should get her back tuesday.. hopefuly..

Not good Poss, i'd be seriously worried about the longevity of the bike if a clutch needs replacing after <2000 k's...

Yeah.. Not happy and they know it - will discuss my opyions on Tuesday... stay tuned...
