Ride side saddle .. .with the knees together ... just to be on the safe side ..

And, carry a small helmet in the gearsack ....... for emergency use only

i do agree with the idea of keeping a helmet in the gearsack... your never know when something might just "pop up" .. i mean out

I must say I expected more contreversy when I saw the thread!

just turn down the pre-load about 3 turns and all should be good
