Two motorcyclists have been allegedly clocked by police driving more than 100km over the speed limit in 100kmh zones, in two separate incidents in the Wollongong area overnight.

Police say officers in an unmarked car saw one rider accelerate from traffic lights in Towradgi Road, Towradgi, north of Wollongong at about 9.30pm.

Police allege the 24-year-old rider of the 2007 model Kawasaki 600cc motorcycle was followed into the Northern Distributor where it reached speeds of 203kmh.

The driver, from Sylvania, was pulled over and his licence was suspended on the spot. He is scheduled to appear in Wollongong Local Court on June 10.

A little more than an hour later, officers allegedly clocked another motorcyclist speeding at 225kmh in a northbound lane on Mt Ousley Road at Cataract Creek.

Police say officers were using a radar at about 10.45pm when they saw a 2005 model Suzuki 1000cc motorcycle speeding.

The 33-year-old man Padstow man was stopped near Bellambi Creek and also had his licence suspended on the spot.

He is scheduled to appear in Wollongong Local Court on June 6.

I live within a hundred metres of Towradgi Rd. It could have been the same unmarked car that got me about a month ago (even though I backed off as soon as the front wheel started lifting).  :x

thats where you made the mistake. should kept it up straight past them. They would have been to busy staring to chase you and your plate would be facing the ground 8)

They make a big deal of this don't they. At least this time the speeds are sort of decent, not 160
