RGV 250...

Got a call from a mate who has a 1991 RGV 250 for sale. It's been sitting around for the last 2 years. Tried to push start it 9 months ago with no luck. Doesn't have a battery.

I'm thinking about buying it to wreck. Never had anything to do with RGV's, so the question is, what's the market like for parts? I'm led to believe that the 17" rims might be highly sort after by those looking to convert their dirt bikes into motards?

He only wants $450. Can't really go wrong can I?

Looks OK jase.

When I was trying to Motard my 426 the go was RGV wheels. When I priced them from a wreckers though they were more than $450 so I can't see that you could go too far wrong.

RGV's one of the best bike ever made. I had one and it was great fun. Theres alot of people looking for spares so yeah just part it out. I know when I had mine I always needed something else or the other, so there is demand and those jokers called wreckers take advantage of it.

Dont listen to him. Park in the corner and give it consideration whilst you rebuild the other two wheeled hand grenade.
If its worth something today, good chance it will be worth the same or more tomorrow.

I would get it Jas.
You can always sell the wheels to somwone who is converting a Enduro bike to a Supermoto. Couple mates run rgv wheels on there CRF's and KTM's.
I know for a facr they paid more than $450 for them.
