Hey guys
Just thought I'd post up that the 12R is in for a service today, just got back home on my loan bike which is an ER6 in that nice Kawasaki blue.
Good little bike, turn-in is great, no problems holding a line, feels very very light, power is good (just the right amount for a daily use bike), generally quite a friendly little thing and VERY comfortable. Brakes leave a little to be desired but that's probably just because I'm used to the thooper brakes on the 12R... and I'm sure that a set of braided lines and good pads would make a solid improvement.
Highly recommended, from what I've seen.
Pity I'm crook or I'd be keen to take the ER6 for a bit more of a ride.

Ok so I couldn't help myself, and took it for a quick run over Nebo/Glorious and back. Had a great ride and praise for the bike is glowing.
That said, wish I hadn't ridden it.
More to the point, wish I didn't like wheelies so much... the old wallet is a little bit lighter after old mate saw me do a wheelie two intersections in a row

I've had an Er6 twice now as a loaner while getting the 10 serviced, it definitely feels strangled with the stock exhaust and i thought the seat was too narrow.
A great commuter, i recently had a blue one and it only had 800klm on the odo when i got it.

Feels strangled but more than anything it's the fact it's only a little parallel twin.... designed less as a powerhouse and more as a reliabile workhorse. If i was going to replace the 12R with a sensible bike and a trackie, the ER6 would definitely be on the list.
It's probably the same bike you rode, had 1950km on it and now has a shade over 2100km on it
I found the seat a little uncomfortable as well but I think it'll 'wear in' after a few more k's... it certainly LOOKS like it should be comfortable (esp compared to a 10R/12R seat).

2 things i have to point out...
1.the demo over here has a micron can that sounds and responds awesomely!!
2. the brakes are fine.... no.. really they are... i have a theory these days..."if greeny can stand it on its nose, the brakes are fine"
