What was an immaculate 06 12 till very recently.
Mate still recovering from brocken wrist , ribs ,etc etc..
scenario ; Mate on his way to work 5.30AM , straight road , on speed limit (check jammed speedo @62km )
without warning , 4wd cuts him off and the rest is an all too familiar story.
"I didn't see him" ... An 06 ZX12r with upgraded globes etc is pretty hard to miss in the morning on a straight road!??Them's big lights !!
anyway , thought I'd post specially for the newbie riders.. Be careful and stay alert!!
Stay uprite peoples

Fucking gay.
Hope old mate recovers nicely, and that the 4WD driver gets a new one torn for him.

Didn't see is not an excuse!! If u went running around around with a gun just firing it off with your eyes shut and shot someone and said "i didn't see" is that still ok.... NO
Hope 4wd does get a new one, and i feel for your mate with the broken bones !!!

Bright side up is NEW BIKE!

dayum! i hope your mate recovers soon.
Ive had so many close calls in the same type of situation, just cruising, you let your guard down, then bang! you are in the arse end of a 4wd...
Its hard to stay 100% alert the whole time, specially when you are cruising at sane speeds (60km) and its a straight ride...
you tend to forget everything they taught you...

OUCH!! Fucking lame excuse "i didn't see him".......MOST 4wd's these days have those great big fuck off peripheral view mirrors fitted to them so pretty much blows the "i didn't see them" excuse clean out of the water! More like "i didn't see them cos i don't use the mirrors for traffic observation, i have them ALL pointed at me so i can do my hair, make up, shave, etc on my way into work of a morning".
Good to hear your mate is on the mend tho!

we all have a go at the whole 'didnt see you' response.. but you know what - chances are he really didnt.. bright lights or not.. It's not an excuse but its just that they were to wrapped up in the flipout dvd, sms chat, lumbar adjusting whatever..
I hope your mate gets better real soon.. its a crappy thing to happen to anyone.
In some ways bad drivers help keep us on our toes and not be so complacent on the road, if only more cage drivers saw the road from a bike perspective.

The eyes saw him. The brain didn't.
Maybe it was just one of those things, but most likely because the driver just wasn't paying attention.
Hope he heals up quickly and gets a shiny new bike soon

Cheers all
Not sure If he's found this site yet .. (though I reckon I'd know bout it by now hehe!)
Don't think he'd agree with bagging 4Wd's either . (in the Background is the wheel of his Poo troll)
Was more the inattention of the driver (prob coming off night shift) I was high lighting and how it can happen without any warning.
Reckon had he given the right hand a bit more of a twist we'd have had to bury him myself. This time he was "lucky"
Note the destruction to the triple clamps , bars , rim etc at such a low speed!?
Pieces of fairing punctured his neck and chest (inc lung) very close to his heart.
Very lucky boy..
Maybe a new LE ZX14 next perhaps ??

WTF is wrong with that? It's just a way of getting from A to B right?

Even when I drove a car for six years I hated most other drivers.
