I knows im blonde and therefore a bit thick, but surely, the asteroid will cause a "big" splash which will then trigger the tsunami waves (big waves - excellent surfing weather!!!!!) which are very wet. How on earth (pardon the pun) can that cause dust clouds?????????....................which will crash into the Atlantic Ocean.
The shockwaves from that would create huge tsunami waves, destroying both coastlines and inland areas, whilst creating a thick cloud of dust that would darken the skies indefinitely.
The asteroid hitting the earth would displace a massive amount of rock, straight into the atmosphere in fine particle form. the ocean would do nothing to stop it hitting the sea floor. From what I remember, the water would be vaporised before the asteroid even hit it. It's pretty hard to imagine just how immense the destruction at the site of the impact would be.Zombie wrote: the asteroid will cause a "big" splash which will then trigger the tsunami waves (big waves - excellent surfing weather!!!!!) which are very wet.
