Team Crash '08

Post by Shifty »

Bloody.... son of a.... motherfckr..... *crash*

OK I KNOW I'M NOT TECHNICALLY SUPPOSED TO BE LANE SPLITTING BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO MOVE OVER WHEN YOU SEE ME COMING AND CAUSE ME TO CRASH. NEXT TIME I SEE YOUR CANDY ARSE I'M GOING TO FUCK YOUR SHIT UP.

Now that's over and done with... was sedately creeping between a few cars in peak hour this morning... all of about 20km/h... driver in a 10T rigid truck looked straight at me in his side mirror and moved over to block me, just as I came up beside him. I'm sure he wasn't trying to make me crash, just was trying to block me off, but that's not the bloody point is it?

Lost my side mirror and then bounced into a 300C. No real damage but needless to say I'm mighty pissed. Managed to maintain control of the bike and pulled over, the 300C driver also pulled over and was very friendly/understanding given what I'd expected to be a tirade of "bloody motorcycle d!ckhead" type comments. The truck driver however kept going and I didn't get anything to identify it... just one of many thousands of non-descript white trucks in Brisbane.

Along with replacing my side mirror, and the few scratches on my new bike that will be staying, also a bit of a scrape up the side of the 300C which looks like it'll polish out so fingers crossed as just having bought the bike and had a mega weekend I'm pretty strapped.

And it's not really even my fault!

Well it's certainly more crash than I want on a bike I've owned for nine days

If that counts as a crash, then so does my ZX9R being pushed over (deliberately) by some highly intelligent person in Toowoomba over the weekend. :(

Damage total 2 peg hangers and the exhaust. The rider's peg hanger is shattered, the pillion's is a little bent. I don't know how the can got out of it without dents, but it's scratched up a bit and the mid pipe's a bit twisted. The bar end's knocked about and the end of the crash looks like it hit pretty hard.

My brand new paint has two small scratches in the clear coat. Could have been a lot worse.

I subscribe to the same theory... could have been worse so I just did a little swearing and I'm mostly over it now. Gave her a handful or two on the way to work which made me feel better... and time permitting I'll take her out to the drags tonight for a bit of a bash as well.

Mate that sucks.

Apologies to any truck drivers we have on here, but...... some blokes driving trucks are the biggest arseholes on the road, some are fine but the standard of common sense is pretty appalling. Some dickhead who probably sits in an overtaking lane doing 1km/h more than the guy he is passing, moving over to block a bike is disgusting to say the least.

Hopefully karma will get the bastard

Yeah, sorry to hear about your bad day.

What the truck driver did is absolutely unexeptable and you're very lucky that nothing bad happened to you.
If cought ( wich will never happen ) he should be charged with attempted murder.
I dont rate truck drivers at best of times, but this waste of sperm human being is just plain phucked up.

Glad you are ok. Ive had this happen as well, just not a truck. People just get jealous when we lane split , cause they can't.
Had a guy open his door on me, lane splitting. Lucky I stopped in time. I then proceeded to punch him repeatedly through his window.
He was yelling out "my brother's a cop" I yelled "That's not going to help you now"..... Punch Punch. Yell Punch... ride of.

I was young and hot headed back then. Who would have guessed.

Hey shifty, sorry to hear about your little step off mate, but honestly....HTF did you manage to fall over when you state you were only travelling at 20kph???? Seriously, if your were, then you would surely have had enough time to stop the bike effectively wouldn't you??? Are you sure there wasn't a tad bit of poetic licence used in the fact set mate????

As for you JP, we shouldn't ride together!!!!!  We may be arrested!!!
