Ha I'll believe that one when I see it , I bought a widescreen TV setup in 2002 and the only round that didnt have a bog standard 4:3 ratio broadcast was the local CH10 Philip Island broadcast in 1:85:1 aspect ratio widescreen 16:9 which is superb . (unfortunately that is the only round I dont get to see on TV as Im at the track ha ha )

I watched it last night on my wide screen plasma and it was in wide screen . Unless its just how mine is set up ?

I couldn't believe it, the telecast was widescreen on both Foxtel and Pov TV

Let me check it out on Foxtell and free to air for the next race Mick, I was errhh half stung (==very very tired ) for the spanish MotoGp and didnt pay much attention to the aspect ratio on Foxtell, perhaps its changed for 2008...thanks mate..

Seeing is believing, and yep I watched my recording of Qatar opener again and it was in glorious widescreen, about bloody time.
The WSB from Foxtell was still in the old 4:3 with 50% of the picture replaced by big black bars down the side of the TV.

Yep, those Monday mornings after the MotoGP, and especially the WSB are a real killer, widescreen or not. I havent actually tried the not drinking bit while watching the race yet
