I'm out, gone to yamhaha

I sold the 636 on Sunday and bought an 07 R1 on a runout special. I'll still drop by to see what's going on as this is probably one of the most entertaining Aus. forums.
Thoughts after 500ks is that the r1 has no bottom end, (not that the 636 did) brakes are insanely good out of the box, susp is firm but excellent, r1 has higher c of g and requires heaps more effort to flick around if you can call it that, more like roll over compared to the 636. Anyways, just felt like a change and I definitely got it.

You DO realise that just because you have a different brand of motorcycle, you CAN still hang out here? I mean come on, they even endured me at the supers, parking my nice shiny blue R1 in the middle of the kwacks
I know there's pics around of me wearing all my blue gear amongst a sea of green!

Not as much as I was prepared for Mel!
Next year I may do a Marty and take a few extra days off to meet up with the Hardcore Crew and ride down. And Mick, the only people we felt sorry for was the poor plebs who didn't attend

it was from Moorooka actually, I saw you serving people when I picked it up but didn't stick my head in, you guys looked busy enough.
BTW, the aftermarket guy is a joker, I guess somebody's got to do it
