I'm interested in modifying an "FX bike" (
http://www.fxbikes.com/) so it can be registered to ride on streets in Victoria. Does anyone know the requirements it needs to meet, or is it possible to do so at all?

Not to menton the ADR's and other gov. red tape
Rob is right, it could be a long wait

the cost could make it cheaper to get the Aprilia version

Unfortunately you have absolutely no chance of getting this bike complied for Australia unless you have an obscene amount of money.
The testing process is usually to the point of failure to ascertain the integrity of the components so you need to supply one bike for testing to start with and then each subsequent modification is subjected to the same testing. Complying a new bike in Australia usually costs from $10,000 - $50,000 + modifications.
Buy the Aprilia
