Shu Roo

I'm heading down to PI soon and was contemplating getting a shu roo. Do they really work?
Ive found some on ebay for $9 delivered. They only work over 50 kph and use the wind to emit a frequency.
Just seems a bit cheap. 1 person has had a close encounter with skipper
and didn't have them on. Would it have really made any difference? I'm not going to get myself into a false sense of security if I get them, but I will slow down and then they don't work. What to do!!!

I know of three two people who have hit roos while riding their bikes and not had Shu Roo's fitted. While I have had them fitted I have never hit a roo.

I don't have them fitted to either my car or bike and I have never hit a roo either, and it's not like there's none around up my way at the moment

I've come close, I've filtered through a mob crossing the road, didn't see them as they broke cover really late and I passed between the first and second roo. They're pretty stupid I don't know if blowing a whistle at them is going to get through the spongy grey matter that passes for a roo brain and get translated into evasive action in the timeframe you will have available

i fitted some for the last trip to ther GP, bloody things had fallen off by the time I got to the island

I got a pair, sure enough I have not encoutered a roo across my path. Previously I had 3 in 2 years !
$7 supercheap auto ! ... there is a more expensive variant i.e. $17 but not sure what that would accomplish
bonus cow removal perhaps

....sorry, started out with two, then remembered another so went to make it three and obviously didn't do a very good job.
So who wants to organise the group buy on tiger rocks then?
