There were mixed results for TKA's first outing the zx10r today. With Shannon Johnson out due to injury, Scot Charlton was left to fly the flag in the superbike class. The bike was still under devolpment, running a fairly std engine and suspension components from the 05 model but was able to run at the front with times in the low 1:33's. With 3 2nd places and 1 3rd place, Scott Charlton finished 2nd on the day only beating by Kevin Curtain on the MV Agusta.
The new ZX10r was on display out the back of the pit garage, and it looks great, much better in real life.!
It was also good to have a chat with Murray Sayle out there who has assured us there is a lot of development still to be had and the bike will only get better. They believe HP WILL NOT be an issue.!!!!
Murray also mentioned the stock bike with just an ohlins rear shock, a set of slicks and can was doing 1:33 / 34's in some earlier practice sessions..
The Supersport races also went well for TKA, with Scott Charlton and Shawn Geronim both posting good results on the day.
The TKA guys shared wins on the day but had mixed results with DNF's in other races.
Its all looking good for TKA in 2008 as these guys will only get better....
