Interstate Transport

hi guys,

i'm in the process of possibly buying a bike in sydney and needing it transported to melbourne. the lowest quote i got so far is $315 door-to-door incl gst and insurance from http://www.motorbiketransport.com.au.

just wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions.

(no one coming down for the wsbk with spare room in the ute/van/trailer? :D )

I had a bike sent up from Melbourne to Sydney in Dec for about $260....
They were Redline motorcycle transport - 0416 863 461

I reciently had quotes from Melb to Syd & they were similar with the cheapest round $320 & highest being $380

yeah would definately do that mate, but it is a race bike, ie no rego, otherwise that would be the plan for sure.

have worked it out that driving up and back would be cheaper, but time is the biggest obstacle.

swabio - care to inform me on 'who not to use'?

I used bikeway to get the RF from San Remo to here wheni boughr it, and it only cost me about $120 or so.

also.. is it worth being a tight arse to save a few bucks, if ur bike isnt safe??

yeah that's the way im leaning at the moment, i'd rather pay the money and have the insuranceand the convenience.

i will try to find a number for fergusons...
