I think the "ninja riders are the best" was the very first group I joined!
Facebook is supposed to be a networking/social kinda thing. For me it is just a time waster, once I've read everything on the forums

It's for people who think Myspace isn't gay enough for them.

There's plenty of action if you've got friends

like for instance instead of ringing your mates to say g'day you can send them ghey little comments on their myspace, or if your into facebook instead of going down to the pub you can send your friends pretend drinks and shots

now comon isnt that heaps more fun than actually going to the pub!!

I cant understand....it's like being a full time nerd instead of actually doing real stuff..
Can anyone provide some sort of list of benefits to these sites ??

there are no benefits...
one loses track with those past friends, aquaintances for a reason..
not to to join farcebook have have them pester you to 'reconnect'
really if for people to spy on each other, ie see what your old girlfriends doing now, or who she's doing now
its nothing more than a popularity contest for teenagers

If you were house bound, or have young kids and can't get out I guess it's contact with other people.
Or you could view it like graffiti - it's like a very hi tec "I woz ere" scrawled on a wall in cycberspace.

I'm all for new technology but still can't see the appeal of myspace and facebook (they're the same, right?) but my 7yr old daughter is already glued to the computer screen. Why are these site attracting teenagers? Isn't forum/mailing list better ? Why do they splash their pages with pics/music which mostly rambling and horrible
perhaps a generation gap ?
