What's the $208 surcharge *supposed* to be for?

Some communist plot to tax us more I reckon, well maybe not but he said it was a $208 surcharge which is tax as far as I can see.

I didn't pay it on mine two weeks ago, and a quick look on the MAA website has no information about it. Perhaps it's a "misunderstanding" on Les's behalf.

its for the lifetime care and injury bullshit....the best bit about it is on your green slip - so you can only claim if your not at fault in which case you are claiming on some elses.
the reason bike riders pay more is cause they are more likely to need more treatment for a longer period........only, you can only claim on someeses if they are at fault.....you cant claim on yours if you are at fault......so why do WE pay more - we only have the accidents, not cause them
the mcc of nsw has been on the case for ages. in fact there was a post hre a couple of months back asking everyone to write to your local state MP - just so you could get the same regurgitated crap from della bosca.......check out the mcc's website for all the info.
its a joke.

I can't remember what mine cost me, all I remember is got hit with safety levy crap. It was written twice on my paper. Something to do with the month I happened to be placed in for rego. All i Know is my CTP almost doubled from last year!
