Do you know about this??
http://www.cliffhanger.org.nz/hill_climb.htm" target="_blank
Mick Matheson of AMCN wrote about it in the latest issue and it sounds like a fantastic meeting.
I'm going to spectate and will try to encourage a few Aussies to come across and have a go. I'll offer free sea freight transport from Melbourne to Christchurch (and back) for the bike they will use in the hillclimb.
Who's up for it??
Kind regards

looks good - you need to change the date in the website - it says March 2007 ??
The video clip was great, but it just looked like a flat-out strop through the countryside, not a *hillclimb* as such ?? I looked for hills, couldn't see many ...

Hi Gosling1,
It's not my web site, but I'll let them know.
Maybe the video doesn't give that impression, but it is s good climb. Not as good as Pike's Peak, though.
Kind regards

no worries on the date change - these things are often overlooked.
That strop looke like a lot of fun - the topographic map sure shows the course layout running through some hill country........that bloke on the R6 obviously knows which way the road goes ....

Hi Gang,
I've talked to Mick Matheson and he's asked me to keep a space in the container for a race bike to do the Hillclimb. A Mick Fraser wants to go "whip arse".
This I'd love to see,....and will, cos I've just booked my airfares. I'm flying to Christchurch to pick up my bike on Thursday 13 March and Friday 14 March I'll take a leisurely ride to Picton (I'll stop in Kaikoura for a seafood lunch) the catch the ferry to Wellington and an hours ride over the fabulous Rimutaka Hill will see me damned close to Gladstone. I'll take a tent for accommodation and spend the accomm money on good food & grog.
I have no doubt Mick Matheson will turn up and I've spread the word amongst some of my Kiwi mates so it will be interesting to see who turns up.
Anyone want to come with me??
Kind regards
Dave Milligan

Another two bikes have joined the Aussie assault on the Cliffhanger Hillclimb in March.
One is a full race MV Augusta 750 and the other is a GSXR750. Should be interesting.
Anymore want to make the trip?
Kind regards

Hi Phil,
How do I get hold of Mick Fraser? I need to talk to him regarding shipping his bike to NZ for the Hillclimb.
Kind regards
